MNX Global Logistics Acquires Global First

Acquisition of Global First advances a long standing management relationship between the two companies to better serve Global First’s Life Sciences, Healthcare, Medical Device, Aviation and Technology customers

MNX Global Logistics (“MNX”) today announced that it has acquired Global First. Global First, a critical logistics provider offering high touch logistics services greatly complements MNX’s services. MNX and Global First have had a long standing management relationship dating back to April 2017. This acquisition cements that relationship and provides Global First’s customers with a more seamless customer experience.

“MNX and Global First have been working together for two years now and this union serves to bolster this relationship so that a broader and more consistent product and service offering can be offered to both our customers,” said Paul J. Martins, Chairman, MNX Board of Advisors. “This acquisition, together with the recent acquisition of Network Global Logistics’ express and service parts logistics division further distinguishes MNX as the largest independent specialty logistics provider in the world.”

“The acquisition of Global First by MNX places industry pioneers and former colleagues side-by-side once again, melding their extremely talented and dedicated employees to further enhance the customer experience,” said James Galante, CEO, Global First. “Our customers will benefit from a wider range of service offerings, enhanced technology platforms and access to more than 622+ strategic forward stocking locations offered by the MNX Service Parts Logistics division.”

This announcement comes as one in a series of strategic business moves by MNX which support its global growth plan and commitment to continuously increase the capabilities that its customers demand. With this acquisition, MNX and Global First are better positioned to support customers looking to tap opportunities for growth throughout the world. With support from its financial sponsor, Audax Private Equity, who recently recapitalized the business in July 2018 to accelerate MNX’s strategic plan, MNX will continue to pursue additional acquisitions globally that focus on the time-critical logistics market.
